How a consignment moves

Five stages. All five are ours.

Most suppliers own one or two of these and subcontract the rest. That gap between the parties is exactly where consignments go missing.

01

Sourcing

Coal lifted from SECL; ore drawn from mines across the Barbil and Sundergarh belt. We confirm against your grade and tonnage before anything is committed, rather than finding out at the loading point that the material is not what you asked for.

02

Clearances

Statutory permissions and transit documentation are completed before a vehicle is loaded. This is deliberate. Paperwork chased after dispatch is paperwork that strands a truck at a checkpoint, and a stranded truck is your delivery date, not ours.

03

Loading and weighment

Material is loaded and weighed at source, and that record travels with the consignment. When the load reaches your weighbridge, both figures are on the table and any discrepancy has a documented starting point instead of an argument.

04

Transit

Movement runs on fleet we manage. That is the difference between knowing where your material is and telephoning a transporter who telephones a driver. When something slips, we generally know before you do — which is the only useful time to know.

05

Delivery

Unloaded at your plant, with third-party testing arranged at whatever stage your process requires. The consignment is finished when it is in your yard and verified, not when it leaves ours.

Why it mattersAccountability

A trader who books the material and hands it to somebody else has no way of answering your question. They can only pass it on. Every hand-off between companies is a place where responsibility can be set down, and the buyer is the one who picks it up.

One party from the mine face to your weighbridge. Nowhere for the answer to get lost.
